An update to WhatsApp beta for windows Phone was released over the weekend, updating the app to version 2.17.234.
Though so many functionalities haven’t changed, other than the check mark in the display name region.
As reported by WABetaInfo, small and medium business will have the privilege to use the WhatApp using a separate app. This will be enable after getting verified by the service, this will allow businesses to have a check mark to their name for easy recognition of commercial establishment.
Other unverified business establishment can also use the service but the verification logo will not be next to their name.
WhatsApp will add further restrictions and requirements on commercial establishment accounts, which includes inclusion of website and email address information in its profile but the display name cannot be changed.
However, like standard accounts, businesses can change their profile photo as often as they wish.
The verification process works like that of Twitter but WhatsApp verification can be requested by any user.
At this time the WhatsApp verification will be limited to business account.
